This Map Image Layer has been created to provide a public facing spatial representation of areas listed in Schedule 4 of the Crown Minerals Act (land to which access restrictions apply).<\/span><\/p> As much as possible, the feature class was created <\/span>by querying the Land information New Zealand (LINZ) Protected Areas and Department of Conservation (DOC) Public Conservation Land layers, using the parameters laid out in <\/span>Schedule 4 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991<\/a>.<\/span><\/p> A small number of areas included in this layer are not discoverable in DOC or LINZ public datasets (such as private conservation covenants and areas to be treated as national parks) and have been sourced directly from DOC. <\/span><\/p> This layer is to be be updated periodically as required. <\/p>",
