This Map Image Layer has been created to provide a public facing spatial representation of areas for exclusion from permitting as <\/span>incorporated by reference<\/a> in the <\/span>Minerals Programme for Minerals (Excluding Petroleum) 2025<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Section 14(2) of the Crown Minerals Act 1991<\/a> (the Act) provides that, at the request of an iwi or hapū, a minerals programme may provide that defined areas of land of particular importance to the mana of the iwi or hapū are excluded from the operation of the Programme or must not be included in any permit. These areas have been incorporated by reference in the Programme for both the Minerals Programme for Petroleum 2025 (Petroleum Programme), and the Minerals Programme for Minerals (Excluding Petroleum) 2025 (Minerals Programme).<\/p>

As much as possible, the feature class was created <\/span>by querying the <\/span>LINZ NZ Parcels<\/a> <\/span>and <\/span>DOC Public Conservation Land<\/a> layers, using the parameters laid out in the areas incorporated by reference in the Minerals Programme<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>
